Anwarhi is a small village in current Rohtas District and erstwhile Sahabad district in Bihar. It is believed that one of our respected forefather from current "Chitransh Parivar" had got this village as "Deewani" from either Vijaygarh or Ramnagar princely Estate.
Our family is treated as vanguard of modern education in the region with so many "FIRSTS" - first gazetted officer, first Postgraduate, first engineer, first doctor and the chain is long . Two of our great grand mothers from left Smt Surta Devi (W/O) Shri Niranjan Lal & Smt Radhika Devi (W/O) Shri Gaya Lal. Both were sisters also.
Smt Radhika Devi was elder sister to Smt. Surta Devi, a real subsurface spirit and leader behind our family achievements , everyone very fondly addressed her as "AAJI" or "Pakva AAJI" as the owner of first pucca house in the village (way back in 1934). She became widow at very early age with only one child, her son Shri Ramji Prasad. Due to some family feuds in the village at that time, she took him to her "naihar" and provided the upcoming English system of education to her son who ultimately became the first gazetted officer and retired as DSP.
